Applications are open for Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geosciences at Penn State. The Pennsylvania State University Department of Geosciences in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (University Park, PA), is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. This position is funded through the Agouron Institute’s Geobiology Fellowship program; however, the final applicant will be appointed at Penn State.
The fellow will work independently to design, organize, and conduct advanced experiments and analyses to understand stable isotope patterning within specific molecules. Work will include design, application, and quantitative assessment of isotopologue analyses using high mass accuracy and high mass resolution mass spectrometry methods and other novel methods.
The individual will expertly design and carries out research protocols and data reduction methods, summarize findings and prepare results in manuscripts for publication. The individual will also share in responsibilities for scientific operations in the laboratory and provide supervision and guidance for junior technicians, students, and visiting researchers.
