The University of Hong Kong calls application for Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Centre for Medical Ethics and Law (CMEL) to be appointed by the Faculty of Law.

Position Summary

Generally, candidates are expected to devote his/her time mainly to research and knowledge exchange in the fields of bioethics or law topics that are related to health; help conduct research in these areas independently and collaboratively; help identity, plan and prepare funding applications for projects; commission and manage research projects and grants; edit, contribute to and publish academic and knowledge exchange publications; deliver presentations at conferences and other events; and disseminate knowledge to the legal, medical and other communities.

Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications to be eligible for this Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Hong Kong

  • Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Law or a relevant discipline and a strong publication record. Those who do not yet have a Ph.D. degree but are close to completion will also be considered.
  • Applicants should have excellent written and spoken English skills. Also, proficiency in written and spoken Chinese would be an advantage.
  • The appointee must be able to work independently, professionally, and to a high standard under time constraints.
