Postdoctoral Fellowship in Film Department at Wesleyan University in the United States of America. The Wesleyan Documentary Project, a program in the College of Film and the Moving Image at Wesleyan University, is inviting applications to a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship beginning September 1, 2021.
The successful candidate is expected to lay the groundwork for a biennial interdisciplinary summit that will feature documentary scholars, practitioners, industry executives and funders engaged in what has been termed the “decolonize the doc” movement. Duties may also include teaching one course per year and providing pedagogical support to our documentary studies classes.
This Postdoctoral position offers opportunities to build administrative experience, further professional development, contribute to an emerging undergraduate documentary curriculum and participate in the campus-wide academic community.
Successful candidates will join a distinguished undergraduate major with fifty years of achievement; over 400 alumni working throughout the film and television industries. The curriculum unifies media studies with production in a liberal-arts setting and emphasizes audience-centered artistic practice.
