The Basque Center of Applied Mathematics calls application for Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Mathematics in Spain. The researcher will work on a Spanish Ministry funded research project MACROPISTAS – MAnufacturing of CuRved Objects via Path-desIgn of cuSTom-shAped toolS, that deals with the manufacturing of complex curved objects.
Research Ares Possible research topics include, but are not limited to path planning algorithms for 5-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining and contact-based inspection, free-form surface rationalization, and tool shape design and optimization. Previous experience in geometric modeling projects is particularly welcome.
