The University of Pretoria is a multi-campus public research university in Pretoria, the administrative and de facto capital of South Africa. Also, University of Pretoria (UP) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Additionally, this 111 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students’ past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Description:

The project is on a full-time basis only. The MSc candidate must begin the project before the end of June 2021 and submit the dissertation for examination by the end of 2022. Also, a generous bursary is available to reimburse registration and tuition fees, and cover living expenses. Likewise, research costs will also be covered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • BSc Honors or BScAgric degree in Biology, Crop Protection, Entomology or similar with final year grade of at least 60%
  • Also, knowledge of the principles and practice of integrated pest management
  • Willing and comfortable to work in the field for extended periods of time
  • Similarly, strong communication skills in oral and written English
  • Patience and attention to detail
  • Likewise, based in or able to relocate to Pretoria
  • Additionally, a valid driver’s license

Likewise, in line with COVID-19 regulations, UP student registrations for the 2021 academic year are fully online. Also, New 2021 first year students will be able to register online from 1 March 2021 or as soon as possible after final admission.
