Apply for the Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh in the UK. The deadline for the application is ongoing. The scholarship is for Bachelors, Masters degree in the field of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility

  • All UK students registered for the Electronics & Electrical Engineering degree programme (BEng or MEng) at the University of Edinburgh.
  • Also, where funding permits, students studying Electronics & Computer Science may also be considered.
  • Similarly, students who successfully receive independent scholarship awards from either the UKESF, IET or RAEng, will not be eligible to also hold a School of Engineering scholarship

Value of Scholarship

  • University of Edinburgh School of Engineering Scholarships for Electronics & Electrical Engineering 2020 provides GBP 1500 per year, for years 1, 2, and 3 of your programme. Students entering eligible degree programmes in Year 2 will receive the award for only 2 years.

Additionally, the University gives awards to students who demonstrate excellent potential to become professionals within the electronics & electrical engineering sector.

How to Apply

All eligible students will be automatically considered for a scholarship in the first semester of their arrival into the Electronics & Electrical Engineering degree programme.   This includes students who directly enter into 2nd year, and also students transferring to eligible programmes at the end of their 1st year of study.

  • An annual bursary (£1,000 per annum)
  • Also, paid summer work placements
  • A paid-for place at a residential UKESF Scholar Workshop
  • Connected to a leading employer in the Electronics sector
  • Likewise, mentorship from your sponsoring company
  • Chance to network and build professional relationships
  • Support from a UKESF buddy (a current Scholar further along in their degree course)
  • Additionally, each year we also subsidise final-year female scholars to attend the WES Student Conference
