Eligibility 

• Applicants must be a citizen of Malaysia.
• Similarly, students applying for the undergraduate degree must have obtained a GPA equivalent to a 6 on a 7 point scale and also satisfy the entry requirement of UQ Math and English language requirements.
• Also, students with a background in science/math are encouraged to apply.
• Master’s degree applicants can apply to one of the following programs:
• Master of International Economics and Finance
  • Master of Economics and Public Policy
  • Business Economics
  • Health Economics
  • Master of Development Economics
• Candidates applying for a master’s degree must have completed an undergraduate degree with a GPA equivalent to a 6 on a 7 in a recognized institution.

Dual degrees

Students applying for a dual degree with Economics are also eligible, and the scholarship will then apply to the Economics component of a dual program only.

However, this scholarship doesn’t include living expenses for the duration of the program, travel expenses, or overseas health cover.

Value of Scholarship

• The successful applicants of the University of Queensland Economics Malaysia Scholarships in Australia, 2020 will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver.
