University College Cork – National University of Ireland, Cork is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland, and located in Cork. The university was founded in 1845 as one of three Queen’s Colleges located in Belfast, Cork, and Galway.

Description:

Applications are being accepted from the EU candidates for PhD Research Position. However, University College Cork provides you this opportunity. Likewise, this funding opportunity is available to highly talented EU candidates who have a plan to study a full-time PhD degree program at the university in Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: EU
  • PhD position in Mapping the exposure, vulnerability and risk of extreme climate impacts in EU coastal cities
  • Likewise, to be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • First or Upper Second Class Honors (2:1) degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
  • Also, experience using research methods or other approaches relevant to the subject matter is desirable.
  • An understanding of Coastal Engineering is desirable – from academic modules, work or both.
  • Additionally, an understanding of risk analysis is also desirable
  • Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Similarly, excellent academic English writing skills.

Offered Benefits

The University College Cork will provide a stipend of €18,500 per annum.
