Theory, a New York-based men’s and women’s contemporary fashion label, awards one scholarship to students pursuing their studies in University of Arts London, UAL. The Theory Scholarship has supported some of UAL’s most talented students on the prestigious MA Fashion Course at Central Saint Martins.

UAL will assess worthy students on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Moreover, the scholarship aims to provide a contribution towards, tuition fees, course costs, and living expenses for Home or EU students. However, for international students, the Theory scholarship will only contribute to tuition fees.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship. Also, students who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realize their full potential may apply.

How much is UAL Theory Scholarship worth?

The students receiving the theory scholarship will receive an award of the amount equivalent to £25,360. The amount will cover the tuition fees, course cost and living expenses of Home/EU students. While for international students, the scholarship contributes to cover only the tuition fee.

Who can apply for Theory Scholarship?

The UAL Theory Scholarship recognizes extremely talented individuals in the areas of fashion. Hence, to receive the UAL scholarships, the candidates must be willing to meet the criteria set by the University of the Arts London. Furthermore, the scholarships are available for only masters students.

Here is a list of criteria that an individual must meet in order to receive the scholarship.

• The students should demonstrate an aptitude for creativity in the areas of Fashion to receive the scholarships.
• Further, they must be a student of the MA Fashion Course at Central Saint Martins.
• Also, the students should receive a place of the offer at the university and should be commencing their classes in October 2019.

How To Apply for the Theory Scholarship at University of the Arts London?

To apply for the scholarship, the candidates must receive a place in the MA in the Fashion program at UAL. Further, the students also should meet all the criteria set by the university. The candidate may apply for the scholarship by filling up an online form and submitting the required documentation.

• An electronic portfolio sent via Dropbox containing one PDF document which should include:
  •  a title page with your name and course title
  •  an introductory page of no more than 500 words explaining your work
  •  up to 15 pages of images
• A copy of your most up to date Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Résumé
• Evidence of your household income
• Evidence of the medical condition
• If applicable, evidence of financial hardship

When is the deadline?

The University of the Arts London receives UAL Theory scholarship application for fine arts until August 15, 2019 (1 pm UK time). Past this deadline, UAL doesn’t entertain any scholarship application.
