University of Canterbury – Vida Stout Scholarship 2020-21 is open for International Students. Additionally, the scholarship allows Ph.D. level programm(s) in the field of Environmental Science taught at the University of Canterbury.

Scholarship Benefits:

All eligible candidates will receive the award of $16,000 per annum for a doctoral degree program at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Eligibility for Vida Stout Scholarship 2020-21

To be eligible for the funding, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a previous year’s degree.
  • Additionally, applicants studying limnology will be given preference.

Application Procedure:

In order to apply for the educational award, candidates must take admission to a Doctoral degree program in the subject area of Biological Sciences and Environmental Science at the University of Canterbury. After that, all eligible applicants must submit an online application.

About the University

The University of Canterbury in New Zealand’s second-oldest university (after the University of Otago, itself founded four years earlier in 1869). Additionally, it was founded in 1873 as Canterbury College, the first constituent college of the University of New Zealand. Additionally, its original campus was in Christchurch Central City, but in 1961 it became an independent university and began moving out of its original neo-gothic buildings, which were re-purposed as the Christchurch Arts Centre.
