Applications are now open for the UQ Business Scholarship for Chinese Students 2020. The University of Queensland (UQ) is a research university primarily located in Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s oldest and most selective universities, consistently ranked among the top in global rankings. UQ is particularly well regarded for business and life sciences.

The main campus occupies much of the riverside inner suburb of St Lucia, southwest of the Brisbane central business district. Other UQ campuses also facilities are located throughout Queensland, the largest of which are the Gatton campus and the Herston medical school. Further, The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage also support a Chinese student enrolled in a degree the program offered by the UQ Business School.

Selection Process

• For the selection process, the Head must establish a selection committee, comprising –
  the Head, or nominee, as chair of the committee; also
• Also, The Academic Administrative Manager of the UQ Business School, or nominee; and
• Mr. Jack Qin or nominee,
• Further, with University staff comprising the majority.
• the selection committee may decide to interview short-listed applicants.
• In making its recommendation the selection committee will take into account –
  academic achievements in previous studies; also
• demonstrated financial disadvantage; and
• Likewise, personal qualities, including leadership potential; and
• a genuine desire to pursue a career in business upon graduation; and
• Lastly, any other evidence which may be deemed relevant;

Eligibility

• An applicant is eligible for the scholarship if the applicant –
• Further, submits an application to the Head by the due date; and
• is enrolled full time in an approved program; and
• Also, is an international student in accordance with The University’s Fee Policy; and
• is a citizen of the P.R.China.

Conditions for continuation

• Must continue to be enroll full time in an approv program
• Must maintain a current student visa
• Likewise, must achieve a GPA of at least 4.5 in each semester that the scholarship is held.
