Details

The purpose of William Nathaniel Robertson Scholarship is to enable a student to undertake a research project as part of the requirements for the MBBS/MD-MPhil or MBBS/MD-PhD programs. Moreover, the scholarship was founded in 1984 by a bequest of $10,000 under the will of Clara Joan Roe, in memory of her father, William Nathaniel Robertson, Vice-Chancellor of the University 1926-1938.

William Nathaniel Robertson Scholarship

Under the recommendation of the Dean, one student in the MBBS/MD-MPhil or MBBS/MD-PhD program may receive William Nathaniel Robertson Scholarship. The candidates will receive a scholarship of the amount at least $2,000.

Who is eligible for the William Nathaniel Robertson Scholarship?

To be eligible for the Scholarship at the University of Queensland, applicants must

  • be an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen
  • Also, the scholarship is available to international students.
  • Must be a student at the University of Queensland.
  • Further, the students must meet the eligibility requirements for the MBBS/MD-MPhil or MBBS/MD-PhD programs.
  • Students must further demonstrate an academic excellence
  • However, students must not simultaneously hold another scholarship

How to Apply for the Scholarship at the University of Queensland?

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements can apply for the William Nathaniel Robertson Scholarship. Moreover, the application will require the candidates to describe why their research project should be considered eligible for the scholarship. The application should include:

  • an outline of your proposed research project
  • the tangible benefits that may result from the completed project
  • your studies report and
  • any other documentation you think would support your application.

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the Scholarship at the University of Queensland is on 31 July 2019. The University of Queensland will not entertain the scholarship application arriving after the deadline.
