Bio Art contest is the cultural event for science and art to figure out the beauty of our life and to project this beauty to the artwork. Medicinal Bioconvergence Research Center (Biocon) holds Bio-Art Contest every year starting from 2013 and this is the 7th year event for Bio-art contest.

The strength of the nameless seeds that have endured over the years in a harsh environment where no living creature would ever exist makes us all amazed.  But this great and vibrant nature is being collapsed by the human race. Life on Earth which existed for the last hundreds of years is going extinct due to the environmental pollution, reckless development, poaching, and so on.

The Bio Art Competition is an opportunity to share the beauty of life with people around the world. Show them the hidden life- a life unknown for a long time!

What will the winners of the Bio Art Contest 2019 receive?

Entrants wishing to participate in Bio Art Contest may submit their work in Digital photographs, Microphotographs, Computer graphics or Video clip. A panel of jury will decide the winner. The grand prize winner will receive KRW 3,000,000 while the three runner ups will receive KRW 1,000,000. Furthermore, the top 10 participants will each receive KRW 200,000.

Who can enter the Bio Art Competition?

Bio Art Competition is open candidates of all nationalities who wish to participate. Participants may apply for the competition individually or in a group. Moreover, entrants may submit their work as:

• Digital pictures and Computer graphics: 300dpi or higher resolution, A2 paper size. The file format should be JPEG or TIFF and No watermark or caption.
• Microphotograph: It should be sent with the maximum resolution supported by the device.
• The Video clips: Its screen size should be in 1280×720 pixels or wider. However, the file size should not exceed 100MB, Playtime should be within 3 minutes and File format should be MPEG4.
• Also, the file should include the contents related to Bio-art.

How to enter the Bio Art Contest 2019?

Entrants may submit their work online on the contest website. Moreover, to enter the competition, entrants must follow the rules of submission. However, entrants may submit their own special work by consulting the organizer staffs. In the case of picture (painting, drawing, etc.),  entrants may it as well by scanning in accordance with the size mentioned above.

Deadline

Entrants may make their submission for the 7th Bio Art Contest by 30th September 2019. Entries after the deadline are not eligible.
