With the success of the first edition, Taiwan Building 4Humanity brings the 2nd edition of International Design Competition. The second edition of the International Design Competition aims to address the current state of the Syrian war Refugee. Moreover, the competition aims to find creative ways of incorporating architecture as a social and cultural facility, by seeking design ideas that would contribute towards the social inclusion and integration of Syrian war refugees in the Turkish border city of Reyhanlı.
To date, nearly 120,000 Syrians have settled in Reyhanlı under temporary protection. In view of the needs for social inclusion and integration, this competition invites students and professionals to propose radical but applicable design ideas for transitional shelters and social and intercultural Service Centre. Moreover, the competition has two separate categories: it welcomes submissions from students and recent graduates, as well as experienced professionals.
