Smart Energy Solutions for Africa invites local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Tanzania to apply for grants. 6. Everyday Projects Grant 2023 for Photographers (up to $6,000)

9. MS International Federation (MSIF) Du Pré Grant 2023 (up to £6,000)

The MSIF Du Pré Grant enables multiple sclerosis researchers and clinicians from low- and middle-income countries to go to established MS research institutes outside of their own country for brief stays (up to six months). For 2023, they are accepting applications for virtual or local initiatives to overcome the COVID-19 travel restrictions. Participants develop skills or carry out aspects of cooperative research initiatives during the visit or virtual project. Each grant is up to a maximum of £6,000 GBP, to cover the cost of travel and living expenses or to top up an existing grant to extend a visit.

10. EDGE Protected and Conserved Area Fund 2023

Applications are open for the EDGE Protected and Conserved Area Fund 2023. Zoological Society of London (ZSL), Rainforest Trust, and an alliance of conservation NGOs are proud to announce a bold new US$ 5,000,000 partnership to protect and conserve habitat for the world’s most threatened and evolutionarily distinct species. The EDGE Protected and Conserved Area Fund is making two types of grants available- Rapid Feasibility Awards to encourage conservationists and researchers to evaluate important potential sites for creating new Protected Areas. Awards average $5,000 – $10,000 and Full Awards for projects with a clear focus on creating new protected or conserved areas or the expansion of existing protected or conserved areas.

11. EEP Africa 2023 Call for Innovative Early-stage Clean Energy Projects (up to €1,000,000)

Private companies, start-ups, and social enterprises from any country with early-stage projects in one or more of the EEP Africa target countries (Botswana, Burundi, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe) are welcome to apply for this grant. Applicants can apply for grants and repayable grants between EUR 200,000 —1,000,000.  The minimum required co-financing is 30-50% of the total project budget depending on the project phase and company maturity.

12. Internet Society Foundation Research Program 2023 (up to US$200,000)

The Internet Society Foundation’s Research Program supports global research collaborations that advance understanding of the Internet and its value for all. Independent researchers may apply for funding up to US$200,000. Grants will be awarded directly to individuals who are identified as the principal investigator on the project and he/she will be responsible for grant management including all reporting requirements during the life of the grant. Organizations and institutions may apply for funding up to US$500,000. One or more awards in each of the thematic areas are anticipated subject to fiscal year funding. The grant focuses on greening the internet, the internet economy, a trustworthy internet, and decolonizing the internet.
