Summer Exchange Program in Germany 2021 – Fully Funded

Applications are now open for the Fully Funded Summer Exchange program in Germany. You’re invited to use for this program. If you would like to ascertain the sweetness of Germany, stay and continue your studies in Germany then yes, DAAD is your solution.

This program aims to assist students and graduates improve their knowledge of German (general language, special language) and their cultural knowledge of the country. Duration of the funding

  • The courses run a minimum of 18 teaching days (max. 5 days/week, excluding days of arrival and departure) with a minimum of 25 hours of teaching every week .
  • The grants are non-renewable.
  • The courses usually happen within the period from June to November.

Benefits of Summer Exchange Program in Germany 2021 

  • One-off scholarship payment of 1,061 euros; scholarship holders from “Least Developed Countries” receive a scholarship of 1,236 euros.
  • Payment of a country-specific allowance (exception: Western Europe). The overview valid for 2021 is going to be published soon.
  • Payments towards health, accident, and private insurance cover.
  • Please note:
  • Course fees and accommodation expenses are usually deducted directly from scholarship payments by the language course provider in order that the grant holder is possibly paid only the difference to the complete amount of the scholarship by the course provider.
  • The above-mentioned payments (including travel allowance) won’t be transferred abroad.

East-West Center Pacific Islands Leadership Program

East-West Center calls application for Pacific Islands Leadership Program. Founded in 2013, the Pacific Islands Leadership Program with Taiwan graduated its seventh cohort, “Generation Seven” in December 2019. Building on a vibrant alumni network of 157 participants from 15 countries spanning the Pacific region, PILP is developing a new generation of leaders and a community of action.

Hosted by the East-West Center, PILP is generously funded by a grant from the Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (IDIA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Republic of China (Taiwan).

Draper Hills Summer Program 2021

Applications call for a Program by the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. The Draper Hills Summer Program (DHSF) is a three-week intensive academic training program that is hosted annually at Stanford University’s Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law.

The program brings together a group of 25 to 30 mid-career practitioners in law, politics, government, private enterprise, civil society, and international development from all regions of the world. Furthermore, this training program provides a unique forum for emerging leaders to connect, exchange experiences, and receive academic training to enrich their knowledge and advance their work.

Summary

For three weeks during the Draper Hills Summer Program, fellows participate in academic seminars that expose them to the theory and practice of democracy, development, and the rule of law. Delivered by leading Stanford faculty from the Stanford Law School, the Graduate School of Business, and the departments of economics and political science, these seminars allow emerging leaders to explore new institutional models and frameworks to enhance their ability to promote democratic change in their home countries.

IIASA Young Scientists Summer Program 2021

International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis calls application for IIASA Young Scientists Summer Program. It is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to undertake fellowships that will allow them to attend a summer project on a topic related to the IIASA research agenda. Annually, from 1 June to 31 August, IIASA hosts up to 50 doctoral students from around the world in its Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP).

There are currently nine IIASA research programs carrying out research into the dynamics of global change. These programs use holistic approaches and effective, interdisciplinary collaborations to identify the multiple solutions needed to bring about a global transformation to true sustainability.

From June through August accepted participants work within the Institute’s research programs under the guidance of IIASA scientific staff. Funding is provided through IIASA National Member Organizations.

Heinz-Kühn-Foundation scholarships intend to enable junior journalists to further their professional development and continue training in new surroundings, and to gain first-hand and in-depth knowledge of the customs, opinions, and way of life in other countries.

Objective 

The aim of the Heinz-Kühn-Foundation is to support the training and professional development of junior journalists. Basically, the Heinz-Kühn-Foundation awards scholarships to young journalists from North-Rhine-Westphalia for six-week or three-month reporting trips in developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The foundation also provides funds to enable candidates from developing countries to gain professional journalism experience in North-Rhine-Westphalia for up to three months.

Scholarships

Heinz-Kühn-Foundation Scholarships holders get

  • A lump-sum contribution towards living expenses in the host country (with scholarship payments covering training and living expenses in the host country).
  • Also, a lump-sum allowance for flight and traveling expenses (the foundation pays a return air ticket for candidates from abroad).
  • An allowance to cover the costs of research materials (e.g. literature).
  • An allowance for trips within the host country.
