Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Chief Administration Officer for the Department of Psychiatry at the Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

Under the direction of the Executive Chair, the Chief Administration Officer provides strategic fiscal and operational oversight on sponsored projects accounts and non-sponsored accounts. Also, oversees the administration of the Center for Genomics in Psychiatric Health and Addiction (CGPHA). Likewise, responsible for managing project protocols and coordinating all fiscal year activities in CGPHA.

Duties:

  • Coordinate’s formulation, monitoring and presentation of budget for controlling funds to implement research program objectives of the executive chair and of the Center for Genomics of Psychiatric Health and Addiction (CGPHA).
  • Also, develops and analyzes fiscal data as required and assists with research long and short-term planning, fiscal projection and spending.
  • Oversees the administration of CGPHA, including operations, staffing, and financial management.
  • Furthermore, facilitates planning and launching of inter-departmental and interdisciplinary research initiatives for the executive chair and CGPHA.
  • Likewise, interfaces with other departments, the Office of Grants and Contracts, and clinical center.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience in academic executive leadership. Additionally, finance/budget roles, including experience as the senior administrator of a department, institute, or large research center.
  • Also, equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
