Position Summary

The Lead Cafe Cashier at Griffis Faculty Club is responsible for supervision of cashiers and assistance with operational issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answers customer inquires, resolves issues, and provide information regarding procedures and/or policies
  • Also, verifies total payments received during shift and reconciles with total daily sales for all registers
  • Furthermore, counts money in cash drawers at beginning and end of shifts. Moreover, make change for cashiers as needed.
  • Similarly, supervise cashiers, assist with POS training, approve cashier scheduling
  • Additionally, resolve cashier errors, deposit daily cash to Finance department, compile and maintain inventory

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • Five years of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Also, two years as a shift manager or similar supervisory role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Attention to detail, patience and a positive, customer centric attitude.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Food Protection Certificate, issued by the Department of Health

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for a long period of time
  • Also, ability to work in a confined area
