Position Summary

UNM Facilities Management (FM) has a great opportunity for a team-oriented individual to join our Custodial Services team as a Coord, Custodial Svcs. Also, the qualified candidate will coordinate custodial functions for the HSC Custodial unit ensuring quality of work and timely completion of tasks. Likewise, he/she will provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to lower level custodial staff engaged in similar activities; delegate work assignments, train personnel, assist with ordering supplies and may supervise personnel, where appropriate.

• This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Also, a valid New Mexico driver’s license will be required if a motor vehicle must be operated on the job.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Similarly, successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
• Moreover, employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas should be in compliance with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than high school; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Also, complete degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and training a team.
• Solid computer proficiency.
• Additionally, advance experience in customer service.
• Experience using custodial equipment such as: extractor, buffer, side-by-side scrubber, wetvac, kaivac.
• Likewise, prior Experience working in hospital/clinical environments.
