Posting Summary

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Habilitation Counselor for the Child & Adolescent Services – Collaborative Behavioral Health Care Program (CBHP) within the Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC).

Duties:

  • Responds to family’s telephone referrals, inquiries, and other contacts with professionals, outside agencies and other parties in a professional and cordial manner.
  • Also, assesses and manages case management needs of youth and families and facilitates connection to Hub and community resources.
  • Additionally, advocates for appropriate resources for clients and families based on assessed needs as measured by supervisory observation.
  • Likewise, conducts professional and employee responsibilities in a manner that promotes CBHP program and UBHC objectives.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health or related human services field and one (1) year related experience.
  • Also, equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.

Special Conditions

  • Valid driver’s license is required, as per program demand may have to travel within the State.
