Description:
As a social media specialist, you’ll work with the vice president of ISM and staff to increase HBU.edu’s online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analyzing usage data, facilitating customer service and creating projects and campaigns.
Duties:
- Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
- Also, day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
- Plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Buffer, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Asana and Olapic
- Likewise, create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms
- help develop, new competitions and campaigns that promote HBU and brand
- Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
- Undertake audience research
- Furthermore, facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
- Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
- Similarly, research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
- Analyze competitor activity
- Recommend improvements to increase performance
- Similarly, set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
- Motivate and coach student workers and interns
- Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within HBU
- Moreover, encourage collaboration across teams and departments
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Create tiles/manipulate images to fit unique social media platform dimension specifications
- Also, create preview images for WordPress articles and press releases that are customized to platforms
- Strong grasp of grammar to write descriptions and text as needed
- Excellent customer service instincts to answer inquiries and mitigate comments
Qualification:
- 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
- Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
- Also, excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
- likewise, understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Familiarity with web design and publishing
- Excellent multitasking skills

Work Environment:
