Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide clinical care in the Neurosurgery Department at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Duties:

The incumbent must meet the following for Vacancy for Physician Assistant in the USA:

  • Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Also, administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Likewise, develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provisions of continuity of care.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  • Moreover, in conjunction with the medical staff, develops and maintains all requirements related to regulatory agencies of the local, state, and federal governments.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Graduated from a Physician Assistant Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Certifications/Licenses

  • Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Also, new Jersey License from the State Board of Medical Examiners-Physician Advisory Committee.
  • Likewise, BLS Certification.

Special Conditions

  • All requirements must be met prior to employment with the Neurosurgery Depart, Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
  • Furthermore, this position has multiple vacancies.
