Overview

New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Also, aligned with Rutgers University-New Brunswick and collaborating university wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.

Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Program Assistant for the Office of Clinical Affairs within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Also, this position will be based out of our Somerdale, NJ location and will require travel to our other two Center locations (Galloway, NJ and Northfield, NJ).

Duties:

  • Plans, schedules and directs the work of the auxiliary staff to make maximum effective use of employees, equipment and materials.
  • Also, coordinates the staffing schedules and time off requests for the Somerdale Dental Center to ensure appropriate coverage is maintained during absences.
  • Moreover, responsible for the standardizing of all operations at each Center within the Extramural Clinics.
  • Additionally, assists the Dean of the Extramural Clinics with the quality assurance procedures at all Centers within the Extramural Clinics to ensure all Center’s meet the guidelines as established by University Policy.
  • Similarly, schedules and conducts regular auxiliary staff meetings at his/her Center. And participates on an as-needed basis in the auxiliary staff meeting at other Center’s within the Extramural Clinics.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field plus one (1) year of experience as a Lead Dental Assistant. Also, Office Manager or Center Coordinator.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Must possess a valid CDA and Dental Radiographic Technology license issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
  • Also, certification in CPR.

Preferred Qualifications

  • English/Spanish speaking.
