Primary Objectives

The Sales Development Representative position works directly with our community of customers and internal teams to ensure customer happiness and success. Likewise, this role is also key to revenue generation by upselling products and services.

Objectives of this Role

  • Proactively generate new business leads and sales opportunities in the higher ed and student property markets as priority
  • Additionally, generate new leads and build relationships through outbound sales activities and by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Moreover, manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage account executives for next steps
  • Likewise, identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

  • Utilize Sales Force, HubSpot, cold calling, social, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email, and referrals to generate new sales opportunities
  • Furthermore, identify prospect’s needs, pain points, qualifying attributes, to move to demo/discovery sales phase with account executives
  • Additionally, build trusted relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Also, research, find, and update prospective accounts and contacts to target outbound activities
  • Similarly, set up meetings or calls between customers and account executives.

 Experience Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Also, higher education housing experience is especially valuable.
  • Similarly, sales experience
  • Moreover, knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
  • Likewise, previous use of StarRez software useful.
