Responsibilities for Vacancy for Services Advisor in the USA

  • Serve as Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer for Student and Exchange Visitor Program.
  • Also, Provide front desk coverage.
  • Additionally, assist visitors to the OIS who need to collect documents or see an OIS advisor.
  • Furthermore, participate in formal and informal outreach for the Office of International Services.
  • Moreover, assist in the administration of the Office of International Services.
  • Likewise, represent OIS on University committees.
  • Furthermore, provide advising during assigned walk in advising hours and scheduled appointments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent,
  • Also, two (2) years professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple complex tasks with limited supervision.
  • Also, strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Likewise, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Furthermore, prior experience working in international education or other overseas experience.
  • Additionally, knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn U.S. Immigration laws and regulations pertaining to international students and exchange visitors.

Starting Salary Range: $45,195 – $50,000 /Commensurate with Experience
