Position Summary

Responsible for providing expert guidance in using the functional components of the suite of research administrative systems and the supporting technical components to deliver a consistent and integrated functional architecture for the Weill Research Gateway (WRG) that will effectively and efficiently meet the administrative needs of the Medical College.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the Associate Director (AD), RAC to develop and maintain an overall WRG application architecture.
  • Moreover, maintains in-depth functional knowledge of the components that the Medical College either currently uses or prospectively will use as part of WRG.
  • Maintains knowledge of the Weill Research Gateway (WRG) modules, Core Facilities Management tool, the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), the Animal Protocol Management System, and other research administrative systems within or integrated with WRG.
  • Also, maintains knowledge of SAP Process Integration (PI), SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Objects (BOBJ) and third-party products in use as part of WRG to determine their place in the ever-evolving WRG solution architecture.
  • Likewise, works with the Business Analysis teams and the Reporting team to understand any new business requirements from the central administrative groups.  Meets with both central and departmental users to determine needed WRG functionality.
  • Works with RAC AD, application managers, and project managers to design and improve the SDLC processes and participate in solution design discussions.
  • Additionally, determines the best way to deliver the required business function within WRG, based upon the identified user business requirements and their knowledge. Advocates for this approach within RAC and with the users.
  • Reviews new product announcements and enhancement pack functional content and campaigns for the adoption of new functionality that enhances or solidifies the WRG architecture.
  • Furthermore, participates on ITS solution architecture committees as requested.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of research administration functional systems experience
  • Also, Minimum of two years business process analysis and/or project management
