Position Summary
Supports the recruitment process by identifying and scheduling prospective candidates. Also, responsible for coordinating the pre-boarding and onboarding experience assuring a service oriented approach for our academic, non-academic, temporary employees and volunteers.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates administrative processes such as interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, report creation and/or generation, and file maintenance for audits and regulatory compliance.
- Also, assists with posting requisitions on job boards, and qualifying candidates for needed skill set/competencies, cultural fit, skill set, availability, interest level.
- Likewise, coordinate the candidate pre-boarding and onboarding experience, assuring timely scheduling and completion. Additionally, completes references and ensures post offer background checks, medical clearances, and credentialing are complete.
- Also, processes new-hire paperwork including I-9 verifications and conducts new employee orientations for international employees.
- Likewise, assists with candidate sourcing via social networking, career websites, campus recruitment, professional organizations and web searches including direct sourcing, cold-calling of passive candidates.
- Furthermore, triages, responds, addresses, and resolves inquiries from managers, candidates, or new hires. Elevates as necessary.
- Likewise, ensures all necessary information and paperwork is documented and stored appropriately and accurately in the HRIS and Recruiting & Onboarding management systems; maintains confidential Human Resource records and information.
- Moreover, provides back up coverage for human resources reception desk.
- Furthermore, provides back up coverage for non-academic orientation.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Experience
- Approximately 2 or more years of demonstrated successful administrative experience preferably in human resources in a customer facing role within a busy office environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise “people skills”.
- Additionally, demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
