General Responsibilities

Virginia Commonwealth University’s Office of Admissions CRM business systems analyst assists with the implementation, development, and system administration of a Customer Relationship Management solution. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the CRM solution, acting as a technical resource and trainer for the CRM, executing day to day operations of the CRM, recommending approaches to design, creating ad-hoc queries and custom reports, maintaining data accuracy, providing support for recruitment events, reporting conversion data for various activities, creating processes for data collection, and developing thoughtful analysis in response to questions raised on trends, effectiveness, and correlations.

Minimum Hiring Standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, social science, or related field that includes coursework in statistics or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Also, proficiency in database operations and administration
  • Ability to work productively in highly collaborative environments that maximize autonomy and decision-making.
  • Moreover, experience in at least one software reporting or statistical package such as SAS or SPSS.
  • Furthermore, experience with querying, extracting and transforming data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Also, ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Likewise, ability to work some evenings and weekends. Position requires some evening and weekend work and will be required to work some hours over the university’s winter break.

Preferred Hiring Standards

  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Similarly, several years of experience in analysis and assessment using statistics and applied research methodologies.
  • Also, experience implementing a CRM solution
  • 2+ years of experience with CRM applications (Slate preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Additionally, ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Moreover, proven record of successfully managing projects working independently, analyzing data and meeting deadlines.
  • Likewise, service orientation, commitment to excellence and professional growth.
