Summary:

The School of Business at Emporia State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Operations Management at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Academic rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Also, the position is housed in the AACSB-accredited School of Business and begins August 2021.

Position Requirements: 

Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering on or before August 15, 2021. Additionally, candidates who are ABD with a degree completion by the start the Fall 2022 semester may be considered. Relevant teaching or industry experience is a plus. Likewise, the successful candidate must be scholarly active and exhibit potential for future scholarly research, along with excellent teaching performance in support of the School’s mission.

  • Likewise, ensure student progress through assessment and feedback on student work
  • Moreover, communicate with students, as needed, via e-mail, virtual chat, phone, face-to-face, etc.
  • Similarly, maintain office hours
  • Furthermore, keep and submit records of student performance by due date
  • Also, develop, prepare and evaluate instructional materials and syllabi with other faculty
  • Additionally, propose and develop new courses
  • Moreover, engage in service at the School, University, and community level.
