Job Summary 

The Health Financing Specialist will provide subject matter expertise to support the GOV to increase domestic financing and improve resource allocation and efficient use for HIV and TB prevention and treatment services in Vietnam. Also, this position will report to the Health Financing Lead.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of activities aimed at strengthening the government of Vietnam’s health financing capabilities
• Also, support the development of in-country capacity for health financing
• Furthermore, contribute to the documentation and reporting of technical strategies, activities and results
• Additionally, implement activities in a way that is harmonized with the objectives to ensure complementary and efficient implementation

Qualifications for Vacancy for Health Financing Specialist 

Minimum

• (6+) years of experience and a master degree OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree (minimum), or a Doctorate (desirable), in Public Health, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant field.
• Also, at least 10-12 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelors Degree, or 8-10 years with a Masters
• Additionally, experience with health financing system development and strengthening, including central level coordination and systems integration
• Moreover, proven experience working with Government of Vietnam and Ministry of Health strongly desired.
