About:

The United Nations World Food Program is the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.

Minimum Qualification

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of secondary school education;
  • Likewise, language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English.
  • Also, either a Yemeni citizen or a foreign citizen with permanent Yemeni work permit.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide technical support and assist with the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the specific work area, with a view to fostering alignment with broader program policies and guidelines.
  • Also, provide specialized project management support to specific and/or defined programs to ensure that the various activities are carried out within the objectives set, in accordance with WFP policies and procedures.
  • Likewise, to thoroughly review, verify, Compile of respective Cooperating Partners (CPs) Food release Note and Distribution plans (FRNs/ DPs) then to submit the verified FRNs to Aden IMO focal point on a timely manner for consolidation and sharing with CO.
  • Conduct monitoring field visits /remote monitoring to nutrition sites both TSFP & BSFP to understand the key issues/challenges in nutrition program implementation, provide support and recommendations for improving the program quality on monthly basis.
  • Moreover, perform an initial review of the findings of the quarterly narrative and monitoring reports provided by CPs. Also, highlighting issues that require the attention of the IMO or supervisor for further analysis.

  • Understand and communicate the Strategic Objectives: Coaches team in the most effective ways to communicate WFP’s Strategic Objectives to WFP team and partners in the field.
  • Also, be a force for positive change: Implements new methods or tools to improve team’s work processes and productivity.
  • Make the mission inspiring to our team: Maps team’s activities and tasks to specific successes in beneficiary communities to showcase positive impact.
  • Moreover, make our mission visible in everyday actions: Explains to teammates how each unit contributes to the overall WFP mission.
