Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective support to Area Offices to strengthen planning and timely implementation of both Cash Based Transfer and In-kind programming through SCOPE
  • Also, the organization requires assist in reviewing and supervising interventions in SCOPE, document lessons learned; and follow up with Area Offices
  • Additionally, assist to ensure that cash-based transfers  and related processes within Somalia Country Office are implemented.
  • Moreover, collaborate with different WFP functional units to ensure coordinated design and implementation of cash, voucher and in-kind food transfers by ensuring all vital sectoral assessments are done;
  • Also, assist in establishing and refining Standard Operating Procedures and internal controls related to SCOPE and Cash Based Transfer (CBT) programming;
  • Likewise, liaise with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Unit and Communication focal points, analyze feedback from beneficiaries, and provide appropriate responses for any SCOPE related issues;
  • Similalrly, contribute to the preparation of accurate reporting on transfers through SCOPE to ensure informed decision making.

Minimum Qualification:

Education: Advanced University degree in economics, international affairs, business administration, social sciences, or development studies or First University degree with additional years of related work experience, training/courses.

Experience: At least three years of postgraduate professional experience in cash-based transfer programming and technology solutions for humanitarian programming.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.

 Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in delivery of cash-based interventions;
  • Additionally, ability to write quality reports and policy documents;
  • Also, ability to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Experience in collaborating across functional units and externally with cooperating partner entities;
  • Experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard WFP software packages and systems;
  • Furthermore, general knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing area of work.
