About:

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is the world’s largest security-oriented intergovernmental organization. Its mandate includes issues such as arms control, promotion of human rights, freedom of the press, and fair elections. It employs around 3,460 people, mostly in its field operations but also in its secretariat in Vienna, Austria, and its institutions. It has its origins in the 1975 Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) held in Helsinki, Finland.

Summary:

The secondment fills the majority of positions in OSCE field operations, which means that individuals are nominated by their respective OSCE participating State. In addition, a limited number of seconded positions are available at the OSCE Secretariat and the institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor implementation of projects’ activities and provide the National Project Officer with project implementation progress reports and recommendations/conclusions;
  • Also, draft project-related reports, including narrative and financial reports;
  • Additionally, assist project implementation partners to achieve the planned results by providing general guidance and advice;
  • Moreover, maintain and update as required project files.
  • Likewise, participate in the coordination meetings of international funding institutions on priority areas in the chemical safety and security sphere;
  • Moreover, participate in the working group meetings of Ukrainian governmental partners to generate project ideas within the OSCE PCU mandate that are related to chemical safety and security.

Qualifications

  • Completed secondary education, supplemented by formal training in Natural and/or Social Sciences
  • Moreover, minimum 4 years of working experience in project management, preferably in international organizations
  • Likewise, professional knowledge of English, Ukrainian and Russian
  • Also, computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft applications.
