Background:

The Integration and Trade Sector (INT) provides a wide-range of products to support the integration, trade and investment agenda of our region through;

(i) the design, preparation and execution of an operational pipeline and portfolio of financial operations (loans, technical assistance, and operational inputs);

(ii) Also, support to strategic integration initiatives within the region and with external strategic partners in the Americas, Europe and Asia;

(iii) Similarly, support to the Public-Private development and integration agenda in the region;

(iv) High-level policy dialogues and applied policy research on issues related to trade, investment and integration;

(v) Likewise, expert technical assistance and capacity building.

Duties:

• Support RIU’s technical and operational work on the main regional integration initiatives.. (Pacific Alliance, MERCOSUR, Andean Community of Nations, SIECA, CARICOM, and others).
• Also, coordinate the Unit’s technical and political dialogue mechanisms with the private sector on regional integration issues.
• Similarly, support the Unit Chief’s efforts in identifying, fostering and coordinating high-level collaboration networks; partnerships to advance the Bank’s operational and knowledge integration agenda across the region with a multi sectoral approach.
• Moreover, collaborate in the coordination and elaboration of the Unit’s knowledge and operational products on regional integration issues with a multi sectoral approach.
• Provide technical assistance to borrowers, executing agencies, country offices and other Divisions of the Bank in matters related to regional integration.

Education:

Master’s degree in Economics, Law, International Development, International Relations, Public Policy, Government or other related fields.

Experience:

• You have at least 8 years of experience in the field of regional integration; and at least 5 years leading projects, dialogue mechanisms; or initiatives related to regional integration.
• Additionally, you should also be able to demonstrate a strong expertise in the rest of the activities related to the key responsibilities of the position.

Languages:

You are proficient in both oral and written English and Spanish. Knowledge of another Bank official language (French or Portuguese) is a plus.
