The BGE Energizing Small Business Grant Program, presented in partnership with Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), is designed to provide vital support to small businesses in central Maryland. This initiative aims to help local entrepreneurs succeed and thrive by offering grants, resources, and networking opportunities. By addressing the unique challenges small business owners face, the program focuses on fostering economic growth, innovation, and sustainability within the region. In addition to financial assistance, participants gain access to mentorship and business development support, enabling them to expand their businesses and contribute to the growth of the local economy.
BGE is Maryland’s largest natural gas and electric utility, providing safe and reliable energy delivery to more than 1.3 million electric customers and more than 680,000 natural gas customers in central Maryland. The company was founded in 1816 as the nation’s first gas utility and remains headquartered in Baltimore City to this day.
