Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition 2022 enables students to persuasively apply ethical reasoning to practical issues as well as the moral imperative of sustainable development.

Teams choose their own business ethics case, which should relate to one of the 17 global UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that focus on a wide range of environmental, social, and economic issues.

Schedule

Wednesday, April 6

Welcome reception and orientation. There will be two Zoom meetings to accommodate the varying time zones of an international field.

Thursday, April 7

The 25-minute competition, where teams will present a business problem of their choosing, give a full presentation analyzing the ethical, sustainable, legal, and financial aspects of a problem, and also present a solution that is viable on all fronts.

Friday, April 8

Teams will incorporate the suggestions given by judges during the 25-minute presentation and give a 10-minute presentation on the ethical aspect of the problem. Also, there will be a 90-second elevator pitch explaining the importance of the sustainability component of the problem.

$120/school, unlimited teams

Eligibility

In order for a team to receive an award of any sort:

• All deadlines as laid out on the Registration and Deadlines page must be met.
• Every member of your team must speak at some point during the full presentation.
• Team members should dress in appropriate business attire.
• In addition, load your presentation onto a laptop, which will be connected to a projector in your presentation room.

1. Complete the Online Registration Form for each team, which provides the information we need to send email updates to advisors and team members and to print awards certificates.
