Fumetto Comic Festival Lucerne annually publishes an International Comic Design Competition. It offers enthusiastic comic creators an opportunity to show their creativity in the international platform. Further, the competition allows the comic creators to face an international comparison and present them to the general public. Moreover, the theme for the 2020 Fumetto International Comic Design contest is:
“We connect us with other people, the clima is linked with the whole globe and for some of us, the heating at home is connected with the cellphone. How we do get connected – no matter if voluntarily or unavoidably – is still individual at the moment. But how is that in the future: what is the benefit of more networking, where does this lead us to? What is the advantage, what are the risks? How do we handle networking in the future?”
However, Comic Creators are free to interpret for the theme “networked”. Moreover, the candidates may make a submission in three categories:
A panel of Jury will select three winners from each category of the 2020 Fumetto International Comic Design Contest. Further, there will also be a prize for the best scenario, regardless of the categories.
Also, the festival’s visitors will vote for the peoples choice award.
The winning comics will receive a spot in the Fumetto Comics Festival.
The Fumetto comic design competition is open for both domestic as well as international Comic Creators. Nor there is any restriction in age limit. Moreover, the Comic Design competition is open in three categories divided by the age of the participants.
For the First Category, participants must at least be of age 18 years while the participants for the Second category of the competition should be of age between 13-17 years. Further, the participants up to 12 years may make their submission in the third category of the competition.
Participants should, however, align their Comics under the 2020 theme as well as submit before the deadline.
Participants must register for the Fumetto International Comic Design Competition online and wait for the confirming e-mail. The e-mail constitutes a part of submission the candidates must print the e-mail and enclose it in the application.
Moreover, the comics must be in A4 or A3 format. Any other format will result in disqualification. Further, the comics should stories in picture form, a maximum of 4 pages only.
Participants must submit their comics via postal application consisting name, address, telephone number, e-mail; user number, date of birth and paging on the back of each page. Submissions via email are invalid. The submission must be addressed to:

Applicants can make a submission for the Fumetto International Comic Design Contest until 4 January 2020. Applications arriving after the deadline are not eligible.
