The Kanthal Awards is a competition to find and award innovations related to new solutions in Sustainability, Quality of Life and the field of Energy Efficiency. Over time our innovations within materials technology have given us amazing architecture, revolutionary new techniques, safer environments and even toast in the morning. Things that make life easier, safer and more comfortable. But there is still a lot to do to ensure a more sustainable world for coming generations. We know that innovations can enable people to live safer, healthier and more sustainable lives by developing better and more effective processes. Most important are perhaps the ones related to energy.

Hence, to be a part of solving this challenge and Kanthal Awards invites customers and partners to participate in building energy efficiency competition. We believe in the power of sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas, evolving them, and introducing them to the marketplace. All with one common purpose – to make a sustainable world for coming generations. We believe innovation is a dish best prepared together.

Benefit

The winner of the Kanthal Enegry Efficiency award will work six months with salary at one of its labs. Further, the will get an opportunity to work with the experts and test and realize their idea. Furthermore, the award presents a flexible opportunity for the winners as well.

As a post-graduate student, travel and spending time in Sweden might be an issue for your personal schedule. Thereby, Kanthal offers a solution that suits your situation and location in the world. You could visit Sweden for a month or a week, or spend time at another Kanthal facility accessible to you.

Our engineers could try your idea in our lab and present the result to you. If you are about to do your master’s or diploma thesis, this could be the program for you.

Eligibility

Kanthal Awards for Students are open for postgraduate students only. Furthermore, students from anywhere in the world may apply for the competition.

How to Apply

Students must fill up an online form to apply for the Kanthal Energy Efficiency Awards. The theme of this years’ competiton is Industrial Heating. Hence, entrants should describe how their ideas increases the efficiency of industrial heating.

Deadline

Entrants may make a submission before 31 May 2019 to be eligible for the Kanthal Student Awards.
