Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC) STEM Challenge 2025

The Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC) is now accepting applications for the STEM Challenge 2025. This initiative aims to identify and fund innovative solutions that enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education for students across all levels, from primary schools to tertiary institutions. LASRIC is looking for fund-ready projects that deepen students’ understanding and engagement with STEM subjects, fostering creativity and critical thinking.

The challenge provides a platform for innovators, educators, and tech enthusiasts to showcase groundbreaking ideas that can transform the educational landscape and inspire the next generation of leaders in science and technology. Whether your solution involves technology integration, new teaching methodologies, or tools to simplify STEM concepts, LASRIC wants to support ideas with the potential to create lasting impact.

This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change in education and contribute to the development of a skilled, STEM-proficient workforce.

Eligibility for Innovation Council

To be eligible for the LASRIC STEM Award, the applicant must:

  • Have valid means of identity.
  • Have a startup company registered and based in Lagos.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a product/tool/solution/technique that is your original idea.
  • Have a Minimum Viable Product (i.e., Have successfully implemented this solution to verifiable beneficiaries with documented impact).
  • Not be indebted to the Lagos State Government through loans or support funds (e.g., LSETF).
