Schwarzkopf Foundation Young European of the Year 2025 (€5,000 prize)

Nominations are open for the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young European of the Year 2025. The Young European of the Year is given to young Europeans between the ages of 18 and 26 who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to a peaceful, diverse and inclusive Europe.

The award grants 5,000 euros for a six-month internship with a member of the European Parliament or with another European institution. It is also possible to finance a recipient’s own project that promotes European integration. The award winner will become part of a European network and the jury of the Schwarzkopf Europe Award.

It was awarded for the first time in 1996, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation, in the presence of former Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel.

Benefits of Schwarzkopf Foundation

  • The award is endowed with €5,000. The Young European receives this endowment to finance either a personal project or an internship at a European or international organization. The project must align with the aims of the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe and should promote European integration and solidarity.
  • The award winner will also become part of the jury for the Schwarzkopf Europe Award and benefit from being part of a European network. The Schwarzkopf Foundation will support the visibility of the awardee’s work through events, its extensive European network, and public relations efforts.
