Sunny Art Center is hosting an international art competition, the Sunny Art Prize 2019 in London. This fine art competition in the UK is a global platform offering art opportunities to emerging and established artists to showcase their artworks internationally. Sunny Art Center exhibition galleries are located in cities across the world, including London, Beijing, and Shanghai. The art contest will also give the art prize winners the opportunity to be part of a one-month artist residency. In collaboration with established Chinese art institutions, the Sunny Art Center organizes the Artist Residency Program. The program provides a chance to engage with historically and culturally rich places in China.
The art competition welcomes submissions from all over the world. The diversity of the prize also reflects the variety of art practices it represents. From two-dimensional work such as paintings, drawings, and photography to three-dimensional sculptures and ceramics, as well as contemporary installations, mixed media artworks, video, and digital work.
Awards + Prizes
A judging panel will select three finalists from which the winner will be selected. Each of the finalists will get an opportunity to
- A group exhibition in London
- A one-month residency in China (either in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou)
- A group show in China (either in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou)
Further, the winner will also get an opportunity to have a solo exhibition in London. Moreover, the judges will also award the winner of the Sunny Art International Competition 2019 a cash reward of $3000. While the first runnerup will receive the reward of $2000 and the second runnerup will receive a reward of $1000.
How To Apply?
Anyone above the age of 18 years may apply for the Sunny Art International Competition. The competition doesn’t restrict entry from artists belonging to any nation. Further, the entries that are acceptable for the competition are
- Original Prints
- Installation Art
- Mixed Media (both wall-hung and three-dimensional)
- Video Art (Including moving image, projected work, and digital installations)
Further, to submit the artists will require to make the online registration. Further, the artists may submit digital arts online while other tangible arts may be sent via post prior deadline.
Moreover, the artists should also pay an entry fee. The entry fee for this competition is £25 for one artwork, £32 for two artworks, £40 for three artworks and £45 for four artworks (pricing excluding VAT).
Applicants may make their submission for the International art competition by 30 Jun 2019. London Sunny Art Center will not entertain any late application.
