In 2022, Women In Africa and The Coca-Cola Foundation join forces to support 20,000 African women entrepreneurs over the next three years through the “JAMII Femmes” initiative.

The JAMII Femmes initiative aims to increase the impact of African women entrepreneurs on the African economy as well as support the creation of innovative solutions for sustainable development that will contribute to positive change in Africa by improving the quality of life of tens of thousands of people.

Benefits per Phase of the Program

First Phase

  • Develop Skills in:
    • behavioral intelligence
    • critical thinking
    • Also, creativity and design thinking
    • communication, collaboration
    • In addition, entrepreneurship

Second Phase

  • access to grants

Third Phase

  • eligible to participate in an accelerator program
  • a special prize of USD 10,000 will be awarded to one laureate per country.
  • In addition, 70 women entrepreneurs from 3 countries will benefit from an in-depth support program and coaching.

Moreover, the program will give participants lifetime access to the WIA network, and thus, to potential collaborators throughout Africa.

Also, WIA will create an Advisory Council for each country, composed of local personalities who will accompany the program. Therefore, women entrepreneurs will be able to be in contact with these prominent personalities.
They will be highlighted on WIA’s social media throughout the program.

Eligibility

  1. Women over 18 years old
  2. Also, the participant must be Nationals or residents of Nigeria, Kenya, or the Ivory Coast
  3. Entrepreneur
  4. In addition, the business should focus mainly on the Agriculture sector and/or in relation to the sustainable development objectives defined by UNESCO

July 2022 – October 2022: Online TRaining for 7000 women

November 2022- December 2022: Impact and the grant phase for the top 600

December 2022- January 2023: Accelerator Phase for 70 women
