Organization:  International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) is responsible for the organization and coordination of the work of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) of the Union which deals mainly with ICT-focused development policies, strategies and programs, as well as technical cooperation activities, to promote digital inclusion and drive digital transformation at community, country and regional levels.

Duties

The intern will have the following duties

  • Producing content related to youth engagement.
  • Also, assisting in research, development, and implementation of the ITU-D Youth Strategy.
  • Likewise,  in the organization of the WTDC-21 Youth Summit.
  • Also,  with the coordination and management of the ITU youth task force.
  • Likewise, assisting in coordinating inputs from ITU experts and staff.
  • Additionally, actively assisting and contributing to the activities on youth engagement.

Qualifications

The intern must meet the given criteria

Competencies

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and produce good quality of reports and research. Familiarity with Youth Engagement would be an asset.

Education:

High School Diploma or University degree in areas related to information and communication technologies. Additionally, other university degrees will be considered based on the areas of the research.

Experience:

No work experience required.

Languages:

Excellent knowledge of English for conducting research and producing documents (drafting and editing).

Additional Information:

The internship will be carried out remotely.
