Responsibilities of the Digital News Intern

As a Digital News Intern, you will have a responsibility to become a Predator, one who can produce, write and edit videos daily. Moreover, the intern will receive experience and learning of a producer, a writer, and an editor. Further, you will assist with social media and on occasion partner with our Digital Reporter to produce daily stories.

Basic Qualifications required for Digital News Internship

• Digital writing skills
• Video producing skills
• Able to edit in Adobe Premiere
• Also, an Independent worker

Preferred Qualifications:

• Junior or Senior-level standing; or attending Graduate school; or a recent graduate applying within 6 months of graduation date.
• Previous internship in a professional newsroom/local news affiliate.
• Working toward a degree in broadcast journalism, communications or television production.
• Video shooting and editing skills
• Writing skills – AP style

Eligibility for the Digital News Internship

Digital News Internship program by Walt Disney Television requires the interns to meet the eligibility criteria including:

• All students must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Further, the students must be at least 18 years old
• You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months.
• Moreover, the students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Also, the students must provide a consistent, reliable work schedule during the session
