Responsibilities

The Fall 2021 Legal Intern will do the following duties remotely

  • Research on Federal regulations for tax-exempt organizations.
  • Research on requirements for federal government grant recipients and contractors.
  • Contract review and drafting.
  • Research on Intellectual property issues; electoral and lobbying laws; data protection laws; and labor/employment law.
  • Assist legal department on US Government compliance and fraud matters.

Required Qualifications

In order to be eligible for this Fall 2021 Legal Internship at Save the Children, candidates must have the following qualifications

  • Must be an actively enrolled J.D. or L.L.M program in an accredited law school
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English,
  • Demonstrate collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a team
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of legal research and writing course
  • Legal research and writing skills and proficiency with legal research tools (ex. Westlaw)
  • Ability to spot legal issues within documents
