Google offers a program in the one field of specialization like Computer Scientist/IT Specialist (Informatikerin/Informatiker EFZ), Specialization in Application Development (Fachrichtung Applikationsentwicklung): The development and design of software will be your focus. You will work in different teams such as software development, user experience, or security to understand the range of roles in this fast-growing field.

Position Summary 

A professional team of vocational trainers (Berufsbildner) will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google Switzerland GmbH. After a 1-year foundation course (Basislehrjahr) you will join your Google team in Zurich and will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as an Application Developer. The candidate will do a variety of duties while actual responsibilities may vary by a specific team.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be eligible for Google Application Development Apprenticeship in Switzerland

• Graduate of Sekundarschule.
• Academic grades on an average of 4.5 or higher.
• Completed Multi check Junior ICT report.
• Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and/or interest in coding.
• Demonstrated logical and abstract thinking.
• Effective communication skills, and enthusiasm for computer science.
