Applications call for IBM Internship in the Netherlands, Thesis on Stellar technology – Governance

Summary

The candidate will operate as an Application Developer intern. S/he will lead IBM into the future by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment. In addition to that, the intern will contribute to power IBM and its clients globally, collaborating and integrating code into enterprise systems. Furthermore, the role will have access to the latest education, tools and technology, and a limitless career path with the world’s technology leader.

Responsibilities 

The intern will do the blockchain research project with the vision and ambition to shape future success. In addition to that, s/he will design settings of custom Stellar assets of different sizes and topologies, study the governance and its consensus mechanisms and compare cases from a decentralization point of view. Furthermore, the intern will study different industries and how this technology applies to them.

Requirements 

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or similar. In addition to that, current enrollment in an MSc Computing Science program or similar
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies.
• Can-do mentality with problem solving and analytical skills as well as capable of developing comprehensive documentation in an academic fashion.

Preferred Qualifications

• A keen interest in how technology can be applied to solve business problems of clients and the will to implement these solutions for our clients.
• Advanced level in English (written and spoken).
• Living or willing to relocate in Groningen, NL.
