FHI 360 calls application for the information security internship in North Carolina, United States of America. The successful candidate will be exposed to topics in information security – including phishing, auditing network vulnerabilities, privacy issues, and protection of information.

Duties 

The incumbent at information security internship will have to perform the following duties

  • Learning the art of creating phishing emails to test our employees’ ability to resist clicking on links and attachments.
  • Providing a summary of phishing campaigns on a monthly basis to the newsletter.
  • Mapping progress for our rating service which monitors traffic to public IP addresses.
  • Providing clear and creative charts to model InfoSec progress in multiple areas.
  • Attending and participating in InfoSec team meetings.
  • Serving as a sounding board for data management and privacy issues for data-centric protection projects.
  • Helping in researching topics as assigned.

Requirements 

In order to be eligible for this information security internship, candidates must have the following qualifications

  • Must be a member in good standing of a graduate program in Library and Information Science in the RTP area.
  • An interest in security and privacy issues as well as a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and also the ability to work independently.

Learning Elements 

The candidate will gain practical experience to supplement academic studies by:

  • Working with a global workforce. Similarly, working with Cofense phishing software to gauge and analyze the behavior of employees.
  • Working to create a visualization of information for vulnerability results for different populations.
  • In addition to that, candidates will be able to participate in a new program that contains elements of the user interface, information delivery, information management, and user experience and usability.
