Airbnb opens an internship position for an ambitious, bright, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and high-spirited for Public Policy Campaign team in Berlin, Germany.

The Public Policy team is responsible for working closely with politicians, regulators, and legislators to educate them about Airbnb and the “sharing economy”, highlight the significant social and economic impact the business has on cities, and showcase best practices from around the world. Further, Airbnb aims to make policymakers to understand the regulatory challenges that affect the host community and find solutions that are good for cities and a thriving local community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Airbnb, the sharing economy as well as regulatory challenges. He or she will join a very fast-paced environment in one of Airbnb’s most dynamic and high profile markets. This is an intern position where the person has the opportunity to develop his/her existing skills in public policy, press work, event, and management.

What will the Airbnb Public Policy intern do?

Airbnb Public Policy Interns will handle several tasks including:

  • Regulatory and stakeholder research.
  • Preparation of briefings for policy meetings and speaking opportunities.
  • Further, Create policy papers.
  • Work seamlessly with other team members to support campaign projects, such as reports, studies, events and strategic partnerships.
  • Support the public policy team and their project management work as well as specific projects of other campaign functions.
  • Likewise, attend events and provide debriefings containing analysis and recommendations.
  • Support press activities, including drafting of press releases and statements, interview briefings.
  • Also, ct as a key contributor to the success of the Public Policy DACH Campaign team.
