The FHI 360 at Tanzania opens an internship vacancy for Supporting Data Analysis for Tanzania Baseline Care Seeking Analysis. The intern position will play a key role in supporting data analysis for our baseline study in Tanzania. In addition to that, the intern position is may also be responsible for supporting the development of research concepts and protocols, knowledge sharing products such as manuscripts, briefs, and blogs, and other tasks related to research and evaluation for the project.

Key duties 

The intern of Tanzania Internship Program 2020 at FHI 360 will have to perform the following tasks

  • Data cleaning and management to prepare for analysis, including integrating publicly available datasets for multi-level analysis.
  • Performing quantitative data analysis using cross-sectional survey data.
  • Assisting with reviewing and summarizing relevant literature as well as drafting and providing input on manuscripts and other written deliverables.
  • Furthermore, participating in calls and meetings with investigators.

Requirements 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

  • At least 2 yrs. of the college experience.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • The ability to speak a foreign language is a plus.
  • Prior work experience in a non- governmental organization (NGO) a plus.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift 5-50 lbs.
  • Furthermore, an expert on Personal Computer, Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), e-mail, telephone, printer, calculator, copier, cell phones, PDAs and other handheld devices.
